Windstruck: Korean Movie

with one comment

It’s a story of a woman cop who met her soulmate through a funny incident. It was a great story: funny, witty scenes and fantasy-infused. There are times that the scenes are so romantic it makes you weep. And there was this episode where the lead actress went into a depressed stage and turn suicidal. There are scenes of attempted suicide that supposed to be dramatic but always end up funny and hilarious.

windstruck_______4

The boyfriend died and returned at the 49th day to bid her goodbye. A promised that someone with the same type of personality will cross her path and the dead bf promises to give her a cue if that guy is around.

I love the scenes and enjoyed the movie until the end.

****

Killer lines:

When we meet again, tell me all the happiest memories you experienced from this life.

If you miss me, come back anytime. Even as the wind, come back as the wind.

Bento and Weight Loss Project

leave a comment »

I know that my weight is not alarming. But somehow, it has been difficult for me to catch up with the way my size is changing rapidly. I googled and find an easy way to lose weight without going through the stress of planning and different concoction preparing. So far, the most applicable technique for me is to get to the bottom of things: food.

Reviewing my interest, the only thing that stand out is the bento making. Since I went crazy buying bento stuff and trying out once or twice, it is a fairly good idea to raid that cupboard again and put the bento into good use. However, time is an issue so I have to plan my way to bento making.

My plan is to prepare one for my Saturday class. So my project starts here: bento and weight loss. In support to the adjusted food intake (on Saturdays), I have started pilates at home.

Everything is all set except a new digicam to document my bento progress.

Manga To Anime: Chobits

leave a comment »

It is a story (another adaptation) from a Manga series under the same title.

Hideki is a ronin who found in trash a persocom. He was thrilled to have one free only to find out later that the persocom seems to be broken. Hideki by the way is a ronin who came to the city to study so that he can qualify for a University exams. Tokyo is new to him and persocom caught his fancy during his first day there. Persocom are personal computers in human form. To Hideki’s dismay, the persocom cost a fortune. It was a stroke of luck that he was able to find one in the trash.

He named the persocom “Chi”, derived from the first word that the electronic device ever spoke. Together they went to a journey of understanding and exploring the world of persocom and the relationship between a persocom and human.

The anime series is great. Nice soundtrack to boot, detailed background and simple but significant plot. The anime series focused on the relationship between human and robots since Chi was presumed to have a free will in the story.

My interest on finding the Manga version is intensified as I read more review about it. Another interesting fact is that there are games released for the Chobits. Unfortunately, it was released exclusively in Japan:

  • Chobits: Atashi Dake no Hito for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance
  • Chobits: Chii Dake no Hito for the Playstation 2

Although this blog has been created for personal purposes, I am limiting the post now to photos and links to trailers. As advised by a friend, the site can slow down on loading if I keep on posting vids, which annoys me when I surf other sites. So please pardon me if I limit the posting.

The Chobits is one of the best romantic anime series I watched. Although my verdict is good, it is still one of those finely created series for me. Hope you had a good time watching it.
